About us

SOYEP’s mission

We believe in the power and potential of every first-generation citizen. Our nonprofit is dedicated to providing vital resources and guidance in career preparation, financial education, and personal growth. We aim to bridge opportunity gaps and empower a new generation of leaders.

The South Omaha Youth Empowerment Project (SOYEP) was founded by a diverse group of young adults with one mission: to create a safe and supportive space for immigrants and their families. We choose to amplify our mission by fostering professional and personal growth.

What we do

Three things we focus on.

  • Career preparation

    Guidance and resources for young people entering the workforce, supporting the transition from a first job toward a long-term career.

  • Financial education

    Practical financial literacy for students and their families, delivered clearly and without assumed prior knowledge.

  • Personal growth

    Mentorship and community support that help students build confidence and navigate new schools, workplaces, and systems.
